Remote Volunteer Opportunities (Verified & Supervised)
Program Overview
Voices for Kidney Patients offers high school students the opportunity to earn verified community service hours through a fully remote volunteer program focused on health awareness, education, and nonprofit support.
This program allows students to serve their community while gaining meaningful experience in public-health awareness, digital skills, and civic responsibility — all in a safe, non-clinical, and supervised environment.
All volunteer activities are unpaid, educational, and appropriate for minors.
Who Can Apply
This program is open to:
High school students (Grades 9–12)
Students from public, private, charter, and homeschool programs across the United States
Students who need verified community service hours for graduation or school requirements
Students interested in community service, public health awareness, education, media, design, or nonprofit work
No prior experience is required.
Volunteer Activities (Remote Only)
Students earn community service hours by completing non-clinical, remote volunteer tasks, such as:
Creating health awareness posts (educational only)
Designing flyers or graphics using Canva
Formatting or proofreading blog content (no medical advice)
Researching general health topics such as hydration, blood pressure, diabetes, and kidney health prevention
Organizing content or logs using Google Sheets
Assisting with website or social-media content uploads
Writing short reflection summaries about what they learned

Provide medical advice
Handle patient information
Communicate with patients
Collect donations
Time Commitment
Minimum requirement: 10 community service hours
Flexible scheduling
100% remote / virtual
Hours are based on assigned tasks and verified upon completion
Supervision & Verification
All volunteer hours are:
Supervised by Voices for Kidney Patients
Tracked through an official hours log
Verified with supervisor signature or email confirmation
Approved only after completion of assigned tasks
School forms and verification requests are accepted.
College Application & Portfolio Benefits
Participation in this program helps students strengthen their college applications by demonstrating:

Students may include approved volunteer work in their academic or creative portfolios, resumes, and college applications.
Student Work & Website Showcasing
Volunteer work is submitted digitally and reviewed by the nonprofit team.
Not all student work is published
Public showcasing is optional, not required
Student and parent/guardian consent is required
When featured, students are credited safely (first name or initials only)
Participation in public showcasing does not affect the number of community service hours earned.

Personal Health Awareness & Family Education
As part of the program, students learn key kidney-health concepts such as:
Importance of hydration
Blood-pressure awareness
Diabetes prevention
Early signs of kidney disease
Healthy lifestyle habits
Students are encouraged to share age-appropriate, educational information with their families, helping promote healthier choices at home and building lifelong health awareness.

This is a volunteer-only community service program.
No compensation is provided
No clinical or medical services are involved
No patient data is accessed
Activities are educational and awareness-based
Parental or guardian consent may be required by the student’s school.

Students interested in earning community service hours should complete the volunteer application form below.
Once approved:
Students receive task instructions
Hours tracking begins after confirmation
Supervision and verification are provided by the organization

All community service hours completed through this program are officially verified by:

U.S.-based nonprofit organization
Supervisor signature and verification available upon completion
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Community service hours may only be tracked after approval.
